The quest continues

What happens in Camelot stays in Camelot.
--King Arthur, "Spamalot"

Boy, it's been five days! I feel neglectful! I usually think that I'll post as soon as I get home, and then I postpone it until I'll be at work, and then I'm surprised to be too busy to post there, and so on, and so on.

So, Spamalot was wonderful. I think it's my favourite musical of all time (excepting anything that my mom has starred in or directed or done any major work on... or minor work). The Monty Python referencing was sufficient to satisfy any true fan, but there were lots of added bits to amuse people who know the Holy Grail inside out. The well-known scene when Arthur fights the Black Knight is interrupted by a beggar requesting "alms for the poor". Patsy picks up the black knight's two severed arms, and throws them in the basket. Lotsa laughs. I read that the Broadway version featured Tim Curry, Hank Azaria, and David Hyde-Pierce. That would have been fun, too!

After the show, we enjoyed a meal at Salad King with Rachel. The restaurant was crowded, but the food was tasty. Afterwards, we went to a smaller café (which happened to have a well hidden and horrendous toilet), so we could have a visit with her without shouting.

Sunday we drove together part way to Kingston - I diverged north to Campbellford from the nearest 401 exit, and had a relatively good night there. I got home Monday morning.

I'm not caught up yet, but I'm only two days behind now, and that's enough news for one post.
