Carelessly snags own final performance (4,4)

I have all your records.
I have even bought some of them twice.
-- Rheostatics, Fan Letter to Michael Jackson

I am embarassed to admit it, but I do like some of my toys.

I recently upgraded our 2004 40GB 4th generation iPod to a 2007 80GB 5th generation iPod. One of my earliest posts on this blog was about how shortly after I got my last iPod, we had filled it up and the new bigger one with a colour screen came out. Now that I've finally got the one with the colour screen and cover art and 80 GB of memory, they are sure to come out with something new to dwarf this one. My music collection now numbers 12345 songs, and checks in at about 45 GB, meaning I've got room to grow. It could also play video, but I don't really intend to make use of that. It seems silly to have a 52-inch screen and watch videos on the 52-millimeter one.

At the end of this month, the Rheostatics will play their final concert at Massey Hall. Kenji also posted on this subject back in September, and managed to get tickets for himself, as well as for Rachel and me (I haven't forgotten that I owe you, Ji!)

Rheostatics songs make up only about 1.5% of my music collection, but with the iPod I can listen to them exclusively (and on shuffle), to gear up for the concert. This is what I did while driving up to Campbellford today. Thanks, iPod!
